About This Tool

Adjustments Available

  • Brightness – global lightness
  • Contrast – separation between dark and light
  • Saturation – color intensity (0% = grayscale, 200% = vivid)
  • Hue rotation – shift all colors around the color wheel
  • Sepia – classic warm vintage tone
  • Blur – soft Gaussian blur in pixels
  • Invert – negative-film effect

How It Works

The tool applies CSS-style filters via the Canvas API. The preview updates live; clicking Download bakes the filters into a new image file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the preview look fine but the download is not applying filters?
Some older browsers do not support ctx.filter. Modern Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all support it. If you are on an older browser, update to fix the issue.
Are these effects reversible?
The on-screen preview is reversible - click Reset to undo all adjustments. Once you Download, the new file has the effects baked in. To preserve the original, always keep the source file.
What is a good combination for vintage look?
Try sepia ~40%, saturation ~80%, contrast ~110%, brightness ~95%. Add a slight blur (~0.5px) for a softer film feel. Adjust to taste.
