About This Tool

Why Watermark?

Watermarks signal ownership and discourage casual reuse of your images. They are standard practice for photographers, illustrators, e-commerce sellers, and anyone sharing branded content online.

Watermark Tips

  • Subtle is better. Aggressive watermarks ruin the image. Aim for 30-50% opacity.
  • Place strategically. Bottom-right is least intrusive but easy to crop out. Center is hard to remove but reduces aesthetic appeal.
  • Match the brand. Use your brand color and font when possible.
  • Repeat tile for maximum protection – the watermark covers the whole image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my watermark prevent image theft?
It is a deterrent, not a guarantee. Determined people can crop or paint over watermarks. The Tile (repeat) position makes removal much harder. For high-value images, combine watermarking with proper licensing notices and reverse-image-search monitoring.
What is the right opacity for a watermark?
30-50% is a sweet spot - visible enough to identify ownership, transparent enough not to dominate the image. Use higher opacity if the watermark is small and tucked in a corner.
Can I use my logo image instead of text?
Not in this tool - it focuses on text watermarks. For logo watermarks, composite the logo over your image in a desktop tool like GIMP, Photoshop, or Photopea.
