Permanently rotates pages in a PDF so they display correctly when opened. Useful when scanned documents come out upside-down or sideways.
Rotation Options
- 90° clockwise — for documents scanned in landscape but meant to be portrait
- 180° — for upside-down scans
- 90° counter-clockwise (270°) — for the opposite landscape orientation
How To Specify Pages
Leave the range field empty to rotate every page. Use ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10 to rotate only specific pages. Each rotated page is updated in-place; un-targeted pages remain at their original orientation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does rotation increase file size?
No. PDF rotation is metadata u2014 only the rotation angle changes, page contents stay identical. The output file is virtually the same size as the input.
Can I rotate different pages by different amounts?
Not in one pass. Run the tool twice: first rotate pages 1-5 by 90u00b0, then rotate pages 8-12 by 180u00b0 on the resulting file. The metadata approach makes this fast and lossless.
