About This Tool

How Due Date is Calculated

The standard method (Naegele’s rule) estimates the due date as 280 days (40 weeks) after the first day of your last menstrual period. This is the most widely used method for women with regular 28-day cycles.

What This Tool Tells You

  • Your estimated due date (EDD)
  • How many weeks pregnant you are right now
  • Which trimester you are in
  • Days remaining until the EDD

This is an estimate. Actual delivery can be up to 2 weeks before or after the EDD. Always confirm dates with an ultrasound and your healthcare provider.
